Daily Banter – 11.2.2009

by Clive Longbottom-Fellow, Esq.

Lisandro Lopez

This man could very well cause a world of problems for Liverpool this week.  Last time these two teams met, Lyon came from behind to win at Anfield.  This is not going to be an easy journey to the mainland by any stretch of the imagination.  What’s it going to take, Rafa?

Defeat in France may just incite the first King Kenny chant…..

You can’t hear me now, but I’ve just started the chant.

  3. Rafa is on thin ice with the fans, but the owner’s are more or less stuck with him (for now). They just extended his contract and gave him total control of football operations. Eating that contract will be tough. Then again Rafa may cut a deal and head to the Madrid to make Alonso’s life hell. I can see it now…hey Xabi, guess who’s baaaack!?

  4. RMP says:

    FACTS About Rafa Benitez

    F- Fulham
    A – Aston Villa
    C- Chelsea FC
    T – Tottenham FC
    S- Sunderland

There you have it. Liverpool’s 5 losses in the league thus far. And yes, Xabi Alonso I am sure is paying careful attention to latest developments at Anfield…. Ha!
